Of course you judge a book by it’s cover. whoever said you shouldn’t obviously has never been in a Borders. A solid attractive design is the only thing that is going to make a book stand out amongst the thousands that it is sitting next to. Publishers are very aware of this and is probably why some of the best designs I have seen are book covers. Or maybe it’s because I love books and spend a lot of time at Borders.
like anything else content is still king, you will never sell a million copies of your book because it has an awsome cover.
