I use Suitcase Fusion 2 for managing my font library and all the fonts are turned off. When wanting to use a font for a particular project you can turn the font on as ‘temporary.’ What this does it turns the font off automatically when you close out of the project and turns it back on when you open up the project. Definitely recommend using Suitcase Fusion 2.

I have a couple of questions for you. 1) What software are you using to go through all your fonts? 2) How many fonts do you have installed and does that software only go through those installed or also those not installed?

That’s fantastic! I was using Adobe Type Manager but, as you may know, they discontinued it several years ago. What can I say, creature of habit. Not a good thing for a designer. But ATM didn’t have nearly the functionality of Suitcase Fusion 2. Sold. :P

I use Suitcase Fusion 2. I highly recommend it, especially because it turns on and off fonts when they are in and not in use. Helps your programs to load faster and your overall system performance.

Now I kind of want to do that all the time. Like, I’m probably going to start screen recording every sustained bout of work that I do. It looks so nice when it’s all getting done so fast.
